I ordered a 5513 jkf from Andrew first time order with them . Watch worked 2 hrs , the bezel and crystal came off with my hand , a tiny bit of glue holding it down . No bezel gasket , crown has so much play that if you did not hold it straight had resistance winding it . The case back and one side of the lugs is marked 1680 . The dial is 5513 dial over all it feels like a trinket from Tijuana . I have built three raffles builds and I can say the parts are heavier and feel much better . Total disappoint after waiting since jan 23 rd to receive it.

You can criticize dealers for sure, I agree, but when you buy watches you should do research to know what you are getting.

Maybe he could have done better about the 1680 engraving but that would require removing bracelet, if you didn't specify him for it he would never know.

You do know that JKF/vintage subs have no gasket right? My JKF 1665 i can pop out the bezel and crystal by hand as well.

The weird winding is maybe the only issue that can be of concern. But the watch works overall, you are just not happy with the quality.

I should have ordered a case only from another dealer and built from scratch since all I have is the case now , but not sure if I want to spend the money to build this out since it says 1680 , I don’t know what will fit

You have a 1 in 3 chance of having the correct engravings between the lugs on a JK vintage Rolex Sub.

When I used to do JK based builds the only part I used was the mid case, bezel assembly and case back. Everything else I threw out. They are low end watches, always have been.

I haven’t placed an order with Andrew before so I have no loyalty towards him, but while your frustration is completely understandable and deserved, it’s misdirected. As stated above, the factory made the watch, not Andrew. You said that the watch currently isn’t working, but it did for the first two hours you had it. That would suggest that it was also working when it was in the seller‘s hands. He wouldn’t know that in X amount of time from now something would stop working and the bezel would fall off.

TL/DR - be dissatisfied with the factory, not the seller in this instance.

Everybody replaces the crystal, just about everybody replaces the dial, hands and crown, many people replace the bezel assembly, everybody complains about the bracelet because it rattles - 40 year old Rolex bracelets rattle.

Good result in the end then, glad it worked out. Iv only ever purchased these for the cases and to swap out and mod everything else, good for builds but that’s about it

Only in the replica game can you fully disassemble something and ask for a full refund 🤣

Well, I hope you do some research before you buy things from now on...... some cursory asking around or research would show you not to expect wonders out of a JKF/Cartel... I mean literally every thread I've seen calls JKF "cheap and fun for modding"..... these go for like $200 from Marvellous Replica... a A2824 is like $50 bulk... dealer makes 30-40% margin... so the parts are like $100 maximum... not much to expect from such watches
