Before buying I asked watcheden:

> Hello,
> Does the item number 24778, has sapphire crystal in the back?
> Do you have stock of this item?
> Thank you,

They answered:

"Yes, the case back is also sapphire crystal. We have this item in
current stock. Please log in our website and place your order
directly."

However, when the watch arrived, the case back was not sapphire.

They offered a discount in the next watch, or the exchange of the watch by another more expensive with 2 sapphires, by paying the difference of price. And refused to send a back sapphire.

I can not return the watch because it stopped when arrived to my house (the second hand touched the dial). I tried to repair it and scratched the dial and broke the second hand.

At the end I bought a watch with 2 sapphires and I got a broken watch without sapphire at the back.

How much did you pay for the first watch?
Edit: and when a watch is DOA, You do not repair unless you are confident.

Sorry to hear that, I think it is better to communication with watcheden for a workaround

Mmh... sorry to hear that. I think that some of our dealers are a bit "casual" sometimes about the details and description of their items. Watcheden once sold me one of his Asian reps claimed to have the "same case as the Swiss movement" version. Needless to say, the case was different and did not fit a Swiss movement. Nevetheless, he still makes that claim on his website for a number of models. I don't think our dealers necessarily do these things maliciously; it's just that the line between acceptable puffery and bullshit sales claims is often blurred with these guys. Particularly because this indusrty is not, well, particularly regulated...

Bad luck about the blotched repair job. But practice makes perfect... Though next time I would practice on on old and nasty watch instead of a brand new one!

I have a spare seconds hand.
If you PM me with your address I'll send it to you.
Can't help with the dial scratch!

When you got it and saw it was not sapphire and not running you should have sent it back right then. Now that you have damaged the dial and second hand the watch cannot be resold. So expecting the dealer to take it back at this point is not reasonable. You should take the discount offer.

Well that is very true, I'm sorry to hear you got the wrong/defective watch but you should've returned it instead of trying to repair it... :|

I have been trying to order from Watcheden for 4 days. I keep having different issues with their website. Today I thought I finally got my order in and the credit card ordering said my card was declined for some security nonsense. I was insulted and more so disappointed that I still have no watchs on the way.

I know it's frustrating at times. I ordered a watch a few weeks ago and had the same issue. I emailed watcheden and they suggested I try again the following day; which I did. This time it went thru. Don't be insulted; it's not a reflection of your credit worthiness but more to do with the inefficiencies of the CC company they deal with. I've dealt with Watcheden on at least 10 occasions and have been happy with the outcome every time. For some strange reason their website (if it's working) will ask for your CC info twice; this is quite normal (for them). Remember, this is not the US, you just have to work with it. Good luck, I hope you get your watch.

I now have 4 watches at the checkout with watcheden & cannot pay for them either. It can be frustrating but I will exercise some patience & await tonys email reply.

While you wait check out your order number which increments by one with each order. I guessed that Watcheden gets about 40 orders a day but of course with such a screwed up CC system it might be one order 40 times.

Well said Roost! This should be must reading for all of us noobs because it seems to hit the nail on the head so well. And when you get right down to it are the rep sellers we deal with really so much different than your friendly neighborhood rolex, gucci, etc dealer? 8)

Thanks for the feedback guys. I got an email from 51paypay saying that Watcheden's bank declined my card now. uuuuurrrrgh! I was sure my beautiful watches where on the way. I don't know whether to reorder for the 4th time, or shop elsewhere.
