Hi I recently bought a DJF from a member on the forum . I’m disappointed with the purchase because in the description he said it keeps time and the date turn exactly at midnight . None of these claims are true , the watch is off by like 6 hrs in a day and date doesn’t change . I don’t know if I should be annoyed that I have to buy new parts and fix it or that’s normal?

I suggest you have a watchmaker look at it. At the least, watches usually become magnetized during shipping when going through various scanners/X-Rays. A few hard hits during transit can do all types of nasty things to a watch.

FWIW, it sounds like both the seller and the prior seller didn't actually use the watch, so the issues may not have been known to them. I had a similar experience with my first two M2M purchases, with both needing minor service. Both times I reached out to the seller, he assured me that he didn't experience the same issue, and I sent the first one out for minor service and fixed the second one myself, learning a little in the process. It sucks to receive something that has issues right away, but it seems pretty common(2 for 2 in my case)

This is 100% what occurred. I am the seller and have multiple videos of proof of the watch functioning completely fine in the short experience I had with it. It was a C&R, I did not even size it or wear it out of the house. The watch is insured through USPS for half its value, so if the buyer can provide clear hard evidence to myself and moderators that the watch is damaged, then I will open the insurance claim with USPS, and provide the money to the buyer to use for repair or keep. At that point it is out of my control if the buyer wants to sell/repair/keep the watch.

The watch was also shipped VERY securely with multiple layers of bubble wrap and foam with an appropriately sized box, I know I could not have done anything differently to ship it safely.

Thread closed, one thread on the subject is enough.
