Realized the other day that I am amassing a nice collection of waffle dial watches from the 50s The 50's and early 60s are some of my favorite eras for design expanding past watches . Something that we will likely not see again with the same level of style and originality of concept. Everything seemed cooler back then. I was not alive during that time , but it sure looked like a great time to be a young adult .
More specifically about watches. the designs were original and it would have been something to see these brand new back then. but the decades gave them warmth and personality .

As many of you know. most of these are first ref of their respective models. Cool to be able to experience all of these together , in retrospect it would have been cool to be able to walk into a rolex ad and see them in the case. I realize how weird that sounds, lol but clearly I'm not the only one as there are many examples of excited people do that to this day and take videos of their experience all the time. The watches just speak to me more back then , than they do now. .
