Awful experience with legology - keep clear of this seller

Unfortunately had a terrible experience with this seller. Timeline of my experience below

Tues 25th June evening - We negotiate a price. I ask for a slightly lower price than what he's asking for as my TD was offering it for only a tiny bit more brand new. He says and i quote "Couldn't do that. I'm afraid. This one is barely used at all so it was priced relative to that. With the benefit of it already in the UK you'd have it by the weekend instead of waiting 3 weeks" . Then gives a final price and says "I'll get it posted out tomorrow"


Wed 26th June AM - I ask for paypal details, he sends over, I pay, he says "will try and get it sorted today/tomorrow". I then provide him with my FULL address - flat number and apartment complex.



Thurs 27th June - I message asking if he's been able to ship it out.



Friday 28th June - He replies - "Sorry about the delay. Been away all day yesterday. Getting it posted out today. Will keep you updated."

No update.........


Tuesday 2nd July - I message asking for an update

Nothing ........



Thursday 4th July - I message again asking for an update. He replies "Sorry about not replying! I got it sent out yesterday from the office" and says he'll give me a tracking number the next morning


Friday 5th July - I message saying "any luck with that tracking number?"

Nothing again......


Monday 8th July - I message again asking for that tracking number

Nothing......


Tuesday 9th July - Again i message for the tracking number

Nothing.....

Wednesday 10th July - Replies to my complaints about his radio silence with "I know pal. Sorry, I'll get it sorted out today. You'll have it in hand tomorrow" . This is despite saying on the 4th July that he sent it out on the 3rd July (7 days prior).

He then says
"i sent you over a small bit just cos I took so long" and sent me £5 over paypal - less than 2% of what i paid for the item.

Then he finally sends a tracking number that shows he sent it out on the 9th July. I send a message asking for an explanation on this as he previously said he sent it out on the 3rd July - he gives the message a thumbs up and ignores it.



Monday 15th July - He then sends me a screenshot of the third party delivery company he used saying that the package had been delivered. (16 days after when he said i'd have it by) However I had not received it. The address he'd put on the delivery - clearly shown in both the screenshots he'd sent me and when utilising the tracking number he provided - was not complete. He had not put my flat number on the delivery - just the street number of my apartment complex.

I then ask to see proof of delivery from the courier - hopefully a photo of where the package was delivered to or a "safe place".
He then replies with the very helpful message of
"I dont have one. Was sent with parcel monkey. Never got an account number with FedEx Sorry" .


This then got escalated to be dealt by some moderators who were very helpful but unfortunately the courier company wiped their hands clean as the delivery person says he handed the item to a resident. - probably true just not the correct resident as legology didn't put a flat number.

And Legology then started accusing me of lying about not having received the package.

He also still claimed that he put the correct on the delivery despite the evidence clearly showing he hadn't.

During this ordeal he then, on the public thread about the watch sale, posts a screenshot showing my full name and address - this is quickly taken down by moderators.


ANYWAY. Two months later it has still not turned up. So I got one from the TD and it arrived - literally from China - about two weeks later - considerably quicker than Legology's parcel was devliered to a very lucky someone in my apartment building.


A quick search of his username in this forum will show that I've not been the only person unfortunate enough to have to deal with his ways. I've chatted to many other users who've had the misfortune of dealing with him and all claim similar experiences of long delays, radio silences and bizzare excuses justifyting these.

The moderators have also kindly provided him with a nice badge warning others to not trade with him. Be careful everyone - not letting this experience put me off as have had an overwhelmingly positive experience with other users on this forum.
