Just checked Josh's website:

http://watchwindersworld.com/1477c-p-2771.html

It's another Avenger Seawolf probably in Titanium. My first impression is:
1. Quality is much inferior to the first batch.
2. Pearl looks horrible.
3. Breitling logo on the bezel near 12 o clock position should not be there at all.
4. Dial with italic Automatic but font looks condensed.
5. Caseback is still wrong (should be E17xxx) and 3000m.
6. Plastic movement holder as opposed to metal ring on first batch.

7. Long tailed second hand.

Hmmm..... thoughts?

Appears to be the Asian Eta in this one, I cant see an eta markings. Hope the price is reasonable on this.

EDIT, after bringing image in to photoshop, and zooming in, it appears to be ETA.

Joke? perhaps not... my guess is this being manufactured by the same factory as Avenger Chrono with blobbeb up f*gly pearl. Nice try :p but as you said; doesn't look like gen at all.

I am sorry....But it is not even close to the quality of the old Seawolf...

One more: The close 4 at the bezel marker at 45 tells the story.

I got mine the tail end of last year from King, it is the old one but had an unfinnished pearl (I presume this is why it was not sold). I bought a gen dial and sent it off to have the dial fitted ,pearl redone and to get superlumed. It turned out great and is one of my favourite watches.

If you see one of these for sale I would really recomend it, very close to the gen.

I acually saw one on timezone about a year ago, a guy had bought thinking it was original, he was asking about the caseback, nether he nor anyone else seemed to realize it was a rep.I sent him a PM and I dont think he beleived me untill I told him his serial number  ,needless to say he got his money back. The next contact I had from him he was asking where he could get a rep :D .

I was a nice feeling to know the guy did not get ripped off in the end and interesting to see a his reaction to a high quality rep.

The word is that this is a watch made from the inferior newer Chrono Advenger titanium case transplanted with a ETA movement and a Seawolf dial.

The case work, dial, bezel, pearl,...etc. are not up to par with the old Seawolf IMO.

Very sad//... The manufacturer should resume making the old Avenger series Ti and also Omega SMP Bond non Chrono non GMT with correct He valve placement.... <--- dead giveaway.

Actually, old or new, I found the Seawolf cumbersome.

When I owned it, it was so thick that in the winter time when I had it on with long sleeve shirts and a winter jacket, the stupid watch had a hard time slipping out of the sleeve or I often had a hard time slipping my hand in my pant pocket because the watch was thick enough to stop at the edge of the pocket.

Dang, what a pain it was. And then, that super deep rehaut for no real purpose, added heft to the watch but NNAAAAH.....

Also, I wonder, if the watch is so damn wonderful, why are some members selling it?

There was one on the forum two months ago or so that sold for about $230....an excellent old stock specimen...

Nice looking but there are flaws on the old ones too...i remember when it was still available: members would still posts critical take downs of its flaws and al. why the sudden positive turn around??

That's why we have multiple watches my friend ;) One for every day of the week, and one for the style of clothes we wear ;)

I saw it on my bali vacation, the old version, in person. Selller was selling it for an equivalent of 300 washingtons, but nevermind that, it's THICK!
I don't mind it, cuz it's light too :D

I think the watch is more 'rare' than 'wonderful', but that's just my Humble Opinion :D

agree on all you points, watchlover.

You are much more eloquent than I could be.

Damn, me and my being French, not always useful when you want to be specific...

The Seawolf is no doubt a serious chunk of metal. It is 44mm in diameter. However, the heftiness is not because of the diameter but of the thickness. It does need some getting used to because of that. But since it is made of titanium, the light weightness alleviates the effect of the size of the watch. It is more comfortable to wear than the Steel Fish that I also own.

The accuracy of the watch to the gen is excellent, IMO. Nothing is 100% of course even with the latest super reps.

I think this watch will remain a collector's item as long as they are not in production. (The new junk they are selling doesn't count.) No Breitling colleciton is complete without one of these..... 8)
