You can go for the 312/320/351/359/386, etc..., they're all great rep.
If you don't want the '1950' case and like the 'bettarini' better go for a 029.

Well the gen 328 has p.9000 movement which has not be replicated accurately.
I haven't heard of any real issues with any recent automatic PAMs they are all pretty reliable as far as I know. I think most if not all none chronos are 7750s.

So if you like the look of the 328 and can live with the movement not looking like the gen version, then get it.

If not look at the 104, or others with closed backs.

There might also be other alternative out there.

well most of the 1950 3day reserve pams (300-series) have the p-9000 movement, which is a very easy to spot flaw, especially with the exhibition caseback.

The best PAM automatic at this moment is PAM 029
All other are reliable when have A7750-7753, 2836 or Seagull 25J.
But you must avoid the models which the gen have P9000 mvmt, and display caseback because in this case the flaws are very evident.

Until the future publication of the GUIDE Panerai reps (now in preparation) for gen PAM information you can consult

Love my 104I! Was also not fond of the idea of frequently winding and the 104I best suited my eye.

Ya know..... winding a watch once per day is not such a big deal.

Very true, if it happens to be a watch that I wear daily. Problem is - I have 4 automatic watches that I swap between, all of which have date function. Two gens and two reps. Three are on winders while I wear the forth so that none need to have date and time set each time I wear them.

I guess I could make it a point to wind them daily if they were manuals but then I travel a good bit so owning autos suits my lifestyle a little better.

That said, I soooo want a 111N and will likely get one at some point when they're more widely available... :)

I forget about the date function..... Never use it. Never set it. Thus manual wind watches are easy for me, date function or not. I wear one, I throw it in the drawer. I wear something else, then something else, then back to the original. What's the date? haven't a clue :)
