Misbehaving York(?) in Keyless Assembly

Hi guys, this part (I think it's called the York) keeps popping up and refuses to "stay" in the groove of the castle gear where it's supposed to be even after I assemble / re-assemble the keyless several times.



Really frustrating.

Anyone with a solution to this?

I think it must be bent a little. Don't have a picture handy of a correct one(Yoke) . Hopefully someone will be along that does. Good luck!

It does look ok, flat and no warpage at at point so I'm not sure what is wrong with it.
