So I wanted a noob PAM 088 so badly that I was willing to take a risk. None of our trusted dealers had any in stock, so I ordered from timepalace, which is a “trusted dealer” on Reddit’s rep forum.
I placed my order in late July and they told me the noob version was out of stock and noob would be re-stocking them in mid-august.
Received an email today saying that they got it and sent these quality control pics. They are low res, terrible quality pics so it's hard to really judge, but something immediately stood out. On the top of the strap, near where it meets the lugs, there is one thread of horizontal stitching. This is a characteristic of the H-Factory version. The noob version just has straight vertical stitching with no horizontal stitch at the top of the strap.
So what’s your assessment RWI? Is this dealer trying to pull a fast one?
