Asian's are pretty good!

Hey all,

I just wanted to post up a weird one I had happen the other day. I have had an Asian Fiddy for quite some time now (a few years) and it's been a great watch. I usually only wear a watch for a week at a time, but I wanted to wear this one another week to really add some patina to my strap.

Well... here's the weird thing that happened. I put the watch down Friday night. I hadn't wound it since earlier Friday morning. I go to pick it up this morning and go to set the time and wind it without thinking. As I look at the time, the second hand is still turning and the time is dead on! :O

I couldn't beleive it, I got at least 70 hours reserve from a 3 yr old Asian Fiddy. It's never been serviced, nor is it a swan neck or any of the newer Asian movements. So when looking around at buying, IMO the Asian movements can be really good, so don't discredit them.

I got a friend that got 4 days of reserve... it is that scary.. Luck of the draw really..

looks like ill be buying asian eta's then. do swiss eta's have power reserves? if so how many hours?

I have been married to an Asian for 24 years and at times she has been pretyy good, but overall it as been a rough road. I bought my only Asian Panny movmt. From Joshua a 172, and it lasted 3 years. Now, no tickee!
