Is there any way I could replace the datewheel overlay with a correct one (did Lello ever produce them/use swiss version?) Even glueing one over the original asian would be an option for me. If it's not possible, could I simply replace the movement with one of my ETA 2836/2824 movements (I know that this would require new hands etc.) I have searched the posts for info on this but no one has confirmed wether or not the movement swap is, indeed, possible.

Hi, Lello only produce breitling DW for BCE (Chronomat Evolution) line only. I understand how you feel wanting to perfect your SFSO as much as possible. However, to my best knowledge. No one make DW overlay /sticker. Glueing over the asian DW will not work at all as the DW become too thick (plus the danger if the gear alignment is out) and installing back the dial will be a problem.

As for the movement, my suggestion is try & search for the open case pics on both swiss and asia version to see if the steel holder and screw hole positions are the same. If identical, probably the next thing you can try is to find out the thickness on both movements. How do I know? Well, I have both 1st version swiss UPO (swiss movement but total crap on dial and case) and UPO lite with better case and dial. I tried to swap the movement but my watchsmith told me it that there are differeces between the 2 holders and screw hole positions. My guess will be SFSO stand a higher chance in term of swapping the movement as the case are the same on both swiss and asia version.

My 2 cents.

Thanks for the reply. I'm really suprised that nobody has tried any of this on such a popular watch. I've ordered an asian white face to replace my SMP as a beater, but I'm a natural tinkerer and will probably try to mod it a bit...perhaps I should have went for the swiss version but seeing as I haven't got an asian movement in my small but ever growing collection, I thought I'd check one out. How obsessive is this hobby!!!
