Hello I have a cheap Rolex submariner that i got on Canal street and after about 4 yrs it stopped working. Im a carpenter and the watch took a beating anyways I was wondering if there is a way to swap out the original asian 21 j movement. For a battery operated one. Im really starting to get into reps and would like to start a real build but this watch is my work watch any info would be. Great

To the best of my knowledge the answer is no, hands are not compatible and you would need a movement holder. If you find otherwise, I'd be interested. May make a nice project to take an inexpensive but we'll built one like a regmariner and convert it to quartz for a daily beater and can be left without winding it up.

ISA quartz movements take ETA size hour & minute hands - hour 1.50, minute .90, for the second hand - .20 mm, you'll have to be creative:

ETA 2824 hand dimensions :

Hour: 150 (1.50mm)
Minute: 90 (0.90mm)
Seconds: 20 (0.20mm)

The hands you have on your DG2813:

Hour: 150 (1.50mm)
Minute: 100 (1.00mm)
Seconds: 17 (0.17mm)

You'll also need a movement holder - all this si possible but it's a lot of hassle - far easier to buy a new watch.
