ARF Factory DeepSea Blue Ref.116660 - review?

HI Guys,

Im struggling with finding any reviews on the ARF Deepsea Blue? I can find a lot about the 126600.

Im trying to understand whether the ARF or the Noob v7 is the best buy for this specific model.

Id like to know as well. I remember having seen a thread on the exile forum about a comparison, specifically the color of the dial and transition, and shape of the case.

from what I remember the ARF bezel insert wins hands down.

Gentlemen... what would you like to know. Drifter, whats going on my favorite Ausie.... As my good friend from down under said. I did a full side by side, which one had this and that full stupid long comparison. Lost to exile though. let me see what kinda pics i have saved,.,.

Here a brief overview.............

Arf: beautiful 904l 100% real deal steal. *is very different and very gen like compared to the 316 of the noob and most reps
Arf: correct blue on the dial, wrong proportions. *although the dial is very gen in its finish with great lume and really nice hands (some of the best I've seen in a rep) It is just too light blue. The N factory has the best dial so far.
Overall the ARF is a better rep. They have fixed so many things plaguing the DSSD replicas. And did it in real 904l. But if its 100% authentic, 1:1 to the gen... The N factory DSSD wins and for only one reason........ the case shape. Noob has been making this watch since it came out in 08. As the name says this is the company's 7th version of it. They have had that long to get things right, which begs one to ask....why are there so many things wrong????? The insert is just plain garbage! Although they got the font right since the v5, Nobody over there can do what ARF did on there v1 and use the correct platinum color on the damn insert. The insert on the ARF is really good. Still not exact gen though, but light years better than the noob. Its what i modded with real platinum and fixed on top of my Frankin-sea. I wanted a 1:1 rep of my favorite watch,. ARF almost did it but the case just too stout and fat compared to gen. Soooo I used the Noob v7 case ( for now at least) the 904 bracelet from the ARF along with its insert and crown. Tossed the Noob dial on a Gen Rolex cal. 3135 ( bc i have never, ever, no really nobodies sold a James Cameron dial yet) along with some gen hands ( a must if you want realism) Got everything to play nice with each other and you have a damn, really damn near close exact copy of the real thing. So close, i can probably speculate bc nobody should ever do this, not even get called out in an AD store. Just pure speculation. NEVER EVER DO THAT WITH ANY REP.. but its really that close and it took the two of them (noob and arf) to pull it off..

This is ARF compared to Noob with spongebob insert... the Noob does not come with anything close to that. Just fyi

And you won't be disappointed. Like i said its just a better all around rep. You'll love the quality of it. AR factory really does do a nice job with small details... the imprint markings on the sel's,, the bezel inlay ect... I have said this repeatedly... the AR bracelet on this watch is the best I have ever seen a rep come with. I would have to say its 99% from shape, feel, performance, its spot on. hahaha and whats funny, it fits better on the noob case than the noob bracelet does. Great watch my friend

the actual, first sea dweller-esk version from 08 yep thats it... So there you guys have it. Thanks to Raddave for that. honesty guys, if you ever have the chance and you really want to learn something about this hobby/obsession, check out some of the posts he's written. About the deepsea and other reps. We're lucky to have him and his rather large wealth of knowledge. Ok.. flattery time over.. But thanks brother..

it should be noted that the first rep DSSD (the V1) was actually released BEFORE the Gen was , so the makers really didnt have anything to compare it to ...

Hi Again Cedenim,

I just purchased my ARF and got the QC, but im having some questions you might could help with. You have in this tread shown fantastic knowlegde about the Deep Sea Blue.

When I review the QC, I find the Pearl not aligned central in the triangle and I also see much bigger Space in on side of with the lugs. Could you let me, know if i get to much into details or you also find these as something needs to be fixed.

man,been so busy and i had all these notifications going all the time.... I didn't see this post... i'm sure you have the watch now, the sels are tricky bc depending on how the bracelet is being manipulated from the case, it can change the way it appears next to the lugs. The bracelet i got with mine was exceptionally tight. Had to pry it off tight. and every case i have used with it, i have had to shave the lugs to get it to fit. a pain, but perfect sel every time. Outstanding, amazing job they did on the bracelet of this watch. Feel is the same as gen. The brushing is en-grained in the steal with a perfectly, babies butt smooth surface. One thing i will point out..... it needs an oil bath soon as you get it. Mine was very clangy. Very idk...unfinished feeling if that makes sence. tossed it in the ultrasonic tank for 450 secs. in a light synthetic oil used as a deep penetrent for steal fasteners. Had the heat on high, hit it with one cycle.... MY GOD.. it went in feeling like a rep bracelet and you'd swear now it was swapped for a genuine 98210. I have used it since on the different variations of my frankin sea. Which is undergoing the last and final mods before retiring it permanently to my wrist. The last version of this super frankin 1:1 will be ready for its debut in a week or so. I will say... i'll challenge anyone who thinks they can get a rep deepsea closer to gen..BRING IT.....lolol
