Hi together,

I ordered an GMT Master II (Bruce Wayne) from ARF and i have seen on the sticker in the QC pictures that it is with 3285 movement with 72h power reserve. Is this the same old SH3285 or a new movement? Is the movement a reliable one?

I'm sure whichever of our Trusted Dealers you’re buying this from will clarify any movement questions..

I don't see you getting much help with your attitude
I don’t know what attitude you mean. I asked a question, which is valid in my opinion.

What kind of answer is this? If it was meant to be funny, then he got the right response.

Maybe he is a guru here on the forum and you guys lick his balls, but if it usual for you guys to question the wording or something, then thanks, i dont need your help. I will get it somewhere else.

July would appear to be becoming rude noob month!

Anyway to the OP this is the type of question your really need to raise before parting with your hard earned!
The movement wont be as good as the DD3285 but will stil be based on the 3285 moverment so, except for the actual component part quality it will mirror the RO Factory 3285 movement pretty close, if not it will be a clone of a clone so will depend on what clone they used! We have all seen photocopies and then seen a copy of a copy of a copy!

As word of advice its well worth reading up on the many discussions on this forum to learn about the differences and best done before making a purchase as its a bit late then!

The overall cost of the reps these days and the movements they are now using as far from the bad old days of timebomb movements that your had to only use during daylight hours and never on a full moon for fear of breaking them!

The older GMT's where an eta style movement was modified to take a GMT hand are not really a thing now as most factories have gotten so muc better that they now clone most parts, the VR movement is a great reliable movemnt for the most part (not always as everything has its limits)

At the end of the day thought it will be fine and if it breaks well its not a big deal as its cheap to replace and by then will have been improved even further! A broken rep is an excuse to buy another one in reality.

The GMT is the most complicated movement and others like the sub were actually pretty good, a Daytona is another movement that can be a pian years ago but now not so much.

Even the ROF GMT's were not without their own issues either.

If you want accuracy and longevity grab a Gshock or an Apple watch the latter not lasting long on battery but will alway be accurate.
RO gens are not always the best at time keeping as the are setup within the COSC parameters whcih is + or - 6 second per day! Some of the reps Ive had are well withi in this and kept better time than my gen counter parts.
As side on momvements I have 2 gen Breitlings a Navi and Chronomat Evo and both keep exceptional time in comparison to the Gen RO's ive had and the Reps ive had over the last year or so keep very similar times and have been sat in a winder also and had no issue what so ever!

I think this might be a case of ‘GOD DAMNED AUTOCORRECT!’ together with a bit of a rude attitude.

OP they do things differently around here, if you come on demanding answers without any manners you will get push back, imagine this forum to be like a university and the others you frequent are high school.

We expect you to do your own research and only ask when after doing so you are unable to draw a conclusion, thats when you go to the ‘prof’ Show your research and ask for advice.

This thread is very different to what I thought it was going to be.

I have a batman and pepsi on there way with this new movement. One thing I noticed from the QC pictures was the magnificent seemed bigger than previous ARF with the other movement, but I could be wrong.

I will say that depending on which one you get it can seem larger. I got a Pepsi Meteorite and due to the gold surround on the date it can seem like a larger magnification.

That Meteorite Pepsi looks great. Are they both ARF versions?
