To date, there have been 3 rep versions of this model series (new 44mm 1950 case series). The first two versions were terrible. The existing 3rd version is a big improvement over the prior two versions, but still not up to the quality of the latest Hublot factory pam releases. You can buy the 3rd version now, but if I were you I would wait to see what the 4th version looks like (the 4th version is the one in the Puretime link). Based upon just the dial pics of the 4th version, it will likely be an improvement over the 3rd version (corrected date window shape and placement, marginally better lume, but nothing more can be said as only pics of the dial have been released).
Yes, you can put a leather strap on the 328. By doing so, you convert it to a 312. This model comes with small quick release buttons on the back of the case, near the lugs, that you depress, which releases the strap/bracelet bar, then you would take off the bracelet and install your leather strap. The quick release buttons on the 3rd version absolutely blow, and do not function properly at all. Hopefully this factory will sort out the problems with the quick release buttons (along with fixing the other flaws associated with the last 3 rep versions).
As a side note, the bracelet that comes with the 328 is not compatible with Luminor or other pam cases. It can only be used with the 44mm 1950 cases (which are used on the 312, 328, 320, 359, etc.).
Finally, I am hoping that Angus' description of these upcoming models is wrong. Otherwise, the 312, 328, 320 and 329 will have the wrong finish on the bezel (should be polished, not brushed) and the 359 will have the wrong finish on the case (should be polished, not brushed). That would be a HUGE mistake, and would be a clear indication that the factory producing these models will not be able to match the quality of the recent releases by the Hublot factory (177, 219, 005, 318 etc., all of which are astoundingly good).
