Hi All: In my ongoing quest to find the perfect BR rep. I found this place http://www.watcheprice.com/Bell-Ross-Watches.html:
anyone know anything about this shop? The photos look to me to be of the genuine goods rather than of the reps. The other thing that makes me wonder is that they offer reps of BR watches I haven't been able to find elsewhere--like the Desert Type. I punched the URL into the forum scammer site but came up blank. Too good to be true?

Why is it so hard to stick to our approved dealers?

so is this an oblique way of saying 'scammer'? It isn't hard to stick to the approved dealers at all, but new people come and go. I also simply like trawling the web. Surely that's OK too................

And you know that old saying - If it seems too good to be true............. it probably is, stick with the dealers listed in the dealers section and you wont go far wrong.

But from time to time a brave soul has to take the risk and check some dealers out, to broaden our horizon. :) And there are dealers that appear to be trustworthy out there, as i was glad to learn recently.

Always keep an open mind :D

Coop's got a great point. The thing is that all of our dealers carry the same reps, except maybe for DSN's custom PAMS. Always ask yourself this: what do those non-trusted sites have to offer that the dealers already here can't?

As an added note: If the site has pictures of gen watches stay away! I'm surprised you've been here a year and a half and don't know that rule of thumb. :|

The only B&R reps out there are the square BR01 and BR03 and their half-brother the BR02.
But that site has the whole B&R catalog .. the Hydromax, Space, Pilot etc etc.

A sure sign of a scam .... if those were available everyone would have them.

We supply 30% off if you pay by western union because of its cheaper service charge ... 30% !!!! I don't think WU is that much cheaper for them.

Hey nielsen; you've been here a while and so I'm surprised at your post. I can appreciate that you might want to look for a model that is not readily available but if you find that 'perfect' rep why not contact Hont or one of the other dealers that can source watches. If it's available then they can get it. It's not like this dealer has some kind of exclusive deal, besides, 30% off for a transaction thru a system that has no comeback should sound some really loud alarm bells.

The final blow is when Fakey says it's a copy of another 'scam' site.

Here's my experience.

Saw an Autavia on a site. Asked for a picture of the actual watch instead of the
stock photo (like the ones on the site you mentioned.) So..they said OK, great!
Sent a photo of an embarrassingly cheap looking "Carrera" that had the same approximate
dial colors of the Autavia, but of course wasn't the Siffert Autavia in the picture.
But that's what they would've sent me had I not asked.

Now, I won't stop looking for my set of Autavias. I suspect they'll never be made, but
I'll still look....kind of like you looking for your favorite watch. Be very very careful.
No one thinks it's as important (as you do) that you get what you want...they think it's important they get you to buy whatever they can sell you.

Cheers, bud....

AHA!
That makes....TWO of us here!

There were some nasty looking 21j Aut reps some years ago. The scam
sites sometimes show pictures of them. They don't have the sculpted cases
and the crowns at 9 like the real ones; just crappy imitations.

I need a Siffert, a Viceroy, and (the most possible) a reissue rep.

And remember me if you run across them, too!

Cheers, mate....
