I have a Navitimer Worldtime 46cm which is quite old. Actually was the very first rep I bought. It is quite nice but it is easy to see it easy a rep because the opening for the date is slightly smaller and the date wheel is almost 2-3 mm sunken with respect to the dial. This is very clear if you look at it from an angle (see the pictures for the watch model and a detail of the date window).

I also have read almost all the threads here and I understand there are newer versions of this model and perhaps the one from BP is the best (but not sure).

So my questions are:
1. Is there any agreement on which factory produces the best rep?
2. Is the problem with the date wheel been fixed or at least improved?
3. I read of somebody making mods of this watch to fix the issue. Anybody knows who should I eventually contact?

Thanks a lot. Looking forward to hear from you.

The best Navi is the Navitimer World by BP. The date wheel is still sunken. A few years ago a watchsmith sold a Navitimer 01 that was modified to fix the sunken date wheel. I bought one. He was a better watchmaker than a businessman. He received so many orders he didn't know how to handle them. So his business and TD status failed. Here is a link to a photo.

I did try to contact the watchmaker via WeChat. He did not respond.

But that is a different model and as far as I know uses a different movement. Am I wrong?
