Are Pre V numbers fatter?

This might sound dumb. But one of our TD's seems to sell many earlier (pre vendome) model Pams, and they always look "faker" because the dial numbers look fatter. Is that just me, or has anyone else noticed that as well?

First, the modern dial you posted is sandwich, while pre-v dials are engraved then painted, thus the correct comparison should be with a modern sausage dial.
That said, pre vendome dials have indeed a different shape and thickness of numbers and indices, that's part of their charm
