AR coating question

I have a PAM111h (purchased from another member a few months ago). I got it for a great deal so I'm quite happy with it for now and dont really need to upgrade to a v3 for now (plus if I decide to upgrade that one, I'll end up getting a 417 probably). there are a few marks where it looks like the AR coating has been scratched or worn off and everytime I look down at the watch it has been bugging me recently. I'm not prepared to send it off for re-coating as I'd rather just spend that money towards a new watch. Is there a way I can just strip off all the AR on the outside of the crystal?

I googled it and there are plenty of "methods" involving car polish or stainless steel polish. I was hoping to see if anyone here had any 1st hand experience as I'm afraid to approach it and screw it all up.

Thanks for any input!

You need some diamond paste and a polishing wheel.

Is there a way to manually do it without the polishing wheel? I'm trying to do it with spending as little as possible as this watch has kind of taken a back seat to my 292j, 505, 390, an 010 (once this one clears customs). I just pulled it out this morning thinking I would wear it just for the hell of it and immediately took it off once I saw the AR scratches.

ill look in to the diamond paste. hopefully I'll be able to find it locally. I assume just rub it in with a microfiber cloth and just keep at it.

you can apply iy on something slightly more abrasive, like a piece of paper.
