Hey guys, one of my favorite watches right there… i have not seen one in real but on the pics it looks like the ceramic is a bit translucent and on gen its more dense. idk
Anyway, to your question. i have coated a watch in ceracote in white. it was a cheap 15202 with quarz, correct hight but had some issues. The bezel and case were connected and unpartable. firther more the DH gate quarz models have some issues with the bezelscews etc.
i have some pucs here, dial was stunning though!!
So as you see it is hard to get inbetween the links and the ceramic is applied with 0.1mm max.. So the gaps will sometimes not properly fit after the trearment. i had to scrape of ceramic at some places because the clasp for example did not close correctly. i would assume that the bezelscrews would not fit in the hex seat in the bezel afterwards etc.. so toleances will be emiminated with a ceramic coating.
reminds me of the color of habdrails and radiators. So there is no comparison to full ceramic material.
this watch was the inspiration piece for the white 15202 at that time. i really loved it but the matte effect was not achievable for me. maybe its tratable with sand paper and will be ruff and tuff after - but maybe you only rip of the coating. its very dry and may splatter off.
but, in daily wear if you dont hit something hard it is very durable.
enjoy the pics - i wiuld rather gonwith the stock rep. maybe one time i will get one of those white reps myself.
if you dont loke it, let me know
cheers
L
