I plan to get one eventually, need to decide on the dial variation... They all look good but I can only get one!!

Which one do you reckon is closest to the gen and which ones would you get if you had to choose?

Oh... and why too...

I prefer black but the blue is also quite striking.

I'd say blue. :)

I'd go for a black dial as well.

15202 (the "original" version Jumbo) is the one without the seconds hand. Not available from Cartel dealers, but from MBK.

Black dial for me. Was going to spring for one too, but the seconds hand shape is off! Might have to live with it.

Personally I prefer the one without the seconds hand as shown in the review article.

If I go down to thailand and to MBK, will I be able to find it easily?

Are they accurate? I try to only buy accurate models, if something is off or have a flaw that is too obvious, I would rather not buy it...

The MBK one should be easy to find, I would ask one of the Thai experts which particular shop to find it in. From what I've seen it's a great rep, very accurate, high quality. If you dont want to go looking for it yourself one of the Thai "locals" like Narikaa or Rolexfinder could get it for you.

This 15202 rep is also slimmer than the 15300 model available from most dealers.

Yeah... Being in Singapore, Thailand is just a couple of hours away and we do travel there every once in a while...

I just received the AP RO Jumbo with black dial, $298 from Tony. Wow it is spectacular! I just love the bracelet. It literally glimmers - much nicer than the ROO bracelets. It is not a very big watch but wears larger than its size. Ditto for the Nautilus (I have the SW200 & MBK versions of that). I guess I'm officially in the Gerald Genta fan club!

Until recently I never really noticed these watches, instead I focused on the Royal Oak Offshore - particiularly the more radically designed ones like the Survivor and T3. But at a recent medical conference I saw an oncologist walk in across the room and his watch immediately caught my eye... on the way out I got a glimpse of it - but only the bracelet. But I immediately recognized it is the AP Royal Oak, similar look to the Offshore but much more refined. Watch was ordered shortly thereafter...
