I m imterested of buying a royal oak chronograph and like to ask if there is any difference in materials and quality of construction (except mechanism) between a quartz ap and 7750 movements?
Secondly is it worth to buy a quartz Ap? Does it work properly?

Thanks

First, to answer your question: Haven't seen any reviews on AP Quartz!

Also, and this is only my personal opinion: Even with Asian chrono-movements, if you think about buying a quartz watch that looks like an AP, you really can buy a Casio, print out the front via front image of an AP and just glue it to your watch.

Just my two cents but probably the reason why I haven't seen any reviews...

Here is one point of view (but definitely on another model): http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/213548-AP-quartz-dismantled-closer-look

If that model You pictured is available (check Intime&others, maybe TSwatches):

Quartz is absolutely reliable and shockproof. Time-keeping will be very accurate, the Chrono may be used as much as You want plus they come with a microstepper movement, that means the main chrono seconds hand sweeps, it does not tick. The small seconds at six will tick, which for some is disturbing others can´t almost see it.

Price will be in the sub-$200 range, this is relevant as the euro has lost 30% purchasing power in the last 3-4 months
No repairs and worries, it will work well
No stuttering, shaking, loose rotors etc., it will be solid on the wrist
The main crown and the chronopushers may be screwed in and out
Hands and markers will be lumed (but weakly)
It will be thin - which is good and nearer to gen
Accuracy will not be 1:1 to gen but that doesn´t matter if You just want a good looking watch to use daily. In my opinion a Casio is no substitute.
The subdials may be wrong on some reps - like mine pictured below:

Last tip: Before going for one of the automatic versions first find a reliable watchsmith, that will also perform work on the Asian7750 with or without modified seconds, in the EU there are some;

If someone starts a thread showing a casio with a cut-out of an AP dial stuck to the front, and asks if this is gen or rep, what would be your answer TrOy? Is it a gen casio or a rep AP? :adoration:
Or a Franken?

I would guess that's a Franken-Rep of the coming soon genuine "AP-Casio-Limited-Edition" ;)

Ha ha ha. That Gen must be a collaboration between AP and casio for a ROO GShock, 68mm, in FC, titanium and black plastic, with alarm, compass and altitude complications, and homing beacon emergency feature ha ha ha
