Hello,

I recieved my AP ROO quartz from hont today.

I noticed one odd thing about the watch.

When the chronograph second hand is reset to 12, it seems to be a bit loose because when I tilt the watch, the hand moves about 1/5 of a second to the left.

It seems to also tilt when the chronograph is active.

It seems very odd and I wonder if the hand is loose or is this particular movement just is like this?

Sorry if I don't seem to explain it well, but in this thread http://forums.watchuseek.com/f2/chronograph-hand-slop-456069 they seem to discuss the same problem.

Here is a comparision picture i tried to take:

Also, can anyone recommend the best way to punch a hole in the rubber strap?

I have the same problem on my EOD Quartz,i took the hand off then install it again and the problem still there,i think it must be a movement problem.

This is something of a known issue on Asian quartz reps.

If you're lucky, you might get one that "shakes" a bit less but it's pretty widespread. Conversely, from what I've seen, it has no bearing on the reliability or longevity of the watch.

It is perfectly normal for a the Quartz movement that is used in these reps. I have not seen 1 rep that didn't have this problem... and I've seen lots of quartz reps as that's all my friends ever seem to want me to get them (cheap asses, lol!).
To be fair I do have a few myself.

It's not a problem... at least they reset to 12 every time.
