AP RO or AP ROO?

Dear members,

please help me out! I am looking for an AP Royal Oak chronograph in rose gold asia or swiss eta. The problem is that the "city of sales" versions on the net are totally crap in my oppinion???? Gens do not have such dials...It is weird and I am confused. Can you help me out?

Furthermore I have been into AP RO Ofshore. The seconds at 12 versions are absolutely great but have huge price tags attached. First question: Is it worth it? Second: is it reliable? Third: Cheaper versions running at 12 out there than $500?

Is there really a perfect AP chrono rep out there? or would I have to buy one which is no chrono?

Would be great if someone shares his or her experiences with me on this topic.

The City of Sails reps I've seen this far are all fantasy models ;X.
AP ROO with secs@12 should be ok if you have someone clean them and put graphite on the center gear. Not a perfect solution, but people say it seems to work this far. As for the price, sadly I dont think there are any cheaper ones.. I do like them myself

The "normal" AP ROO's tend to be quite good reps, compaired to the gen. Lookie : viewtopic.php?f=9&t=55041

uhhh....crazy!!!! Looks amazing!!!! I think the rep looks perfect...If the price tag would not be...hahaha

Thanks for the answer... I will forget about the City of sails than and continue looking for AP ROO "normal" stainless steel is anyway better i belivve cause the gold tones will never perfectly fit. Have you seen the Rubens Barrichello 2 should be amazin!!!

Hehe don't rush too fast, I bet someone will post more info. I'm a total noob at this as well .

The Rubens Barrichello II looks nice, the rep is cool, other than the dial differing from the gen - there is a gear and some screws on the gen, rep is a plain (ok ok, with some perlage on it..) steel plate. There is some guy offering an improved version for $1500, which corrects these.. But come on, 1500 bucks

you can get some nice AP with sec @12 for around 500 USD but you need to do a service on the movement
