AP 15500 Grey Dial -- ZF or APSF?

Hi all,

Looking to purchase the model in the title -- I know ZF is considered "the factory" for AP 15500, but seen a lot of good things about APSF lately, especially that the grey dial may have more sunburst effect than ZF. I can't find any grey dials from APSF on here or Reddit from APSF for the 15500 so don't know what it looks like!

I'm not too picky on date wheel etc., just looking for which one may end up being the better rep for this dial color. Any help is appreciated! Thanks all!

The APSF grey dial isn't fantastic too. Just choose what you like, both are reps (better sunburst or finish or whatnot) you will wear for fun.
You can of course exercise your preference accordingly.

wow, thank you for this reference. Is there an APSF dial you think looks best (I don't mean closest to gen, just what you think looks best) for the 15500 or 15400?

Good question. Personally I think the ZF 15500 blue dial looks the best. Avoid the grey if you can, they’ve gotten it terribly wrong.

That's hard to hear, I was really wanting a grey dial! Now looks like I'll have to go with black or white.

As you can see neither the APS nor ZF grey does looks good.

I like grey as color. If I were into 15400 or 15500 I'd go for a gen dial for sure.

I see this question coming up a lot, as well as reports that the previous ZF version is somewhat "matte".

Regarding the latest ones, I can attest that the blue dial has a gorgeous sunburst. It's not a mirror, of course, but the sunburst is definitely there and looks incredible.

I have a modded one in hand and agree with @grillbrill that the dial is very well done.

The latest batch of ZF 15500 grey dial is very bad with crooked markers at 6 and 9 and uneven 12 markers. It is noticeable without zooming on the QC
