Well I don't have any reliable or otherwise sources, but my strong and quite reliable sense of logic tells me that the above is not or at least not entirely correct. PAM217 is also out of stock and has been for exact same while as 127 and it is using a current movement that can be found in any other Noob Pam so if the movement was the only problem than any TD would have enough of those damn 217s to go around. As this is not the case, I am leaning towards a more plausible crystal manufacture problem which is exactly one part that is bloody difficult to make right and is identical on both watches. Viola, mystery solved

Movement bridges would hold up 127, but not 217.
The crystal for the 127 is different than the crystal for 217.
It is all a mystery, and all we can do is wait.
