I just picked up PAM111 and thinking about getting double AR...anyone has this done yet and is there a watchmaker who does this in CONUS? Prof?

Not the model you are asking for, but I had these two double ar'ed. It wasn't in CONUS but you can be sure that the watch is MUCH better now.
I have almost all my eatches double ar'ed, and they look amazing!
Go for it and you will love the result.

When I send the whole watch to this modder, yes it is a good idea. But sometimes I send just a spare crystal.
And depending wich watch I'm sending, I don't ask for a relume job because there are a few that already have a good lume, so I don't feel like spending extra money with it.

I have all my watches mainly Panerai 2xar with Taka. Like Ale said personal taist. My opinion is that the rep xtal is not as good as gen and the 2xar brings it very close. Much cheaper and easier than to source a gen xtal.
i have 2 new pams without 2xar that i have receiced lately and i do not wear them for they look"dull" compared to my other pams. I have chief 2xar on my pam111 and pam177. My opinion its amasing will never go back.

These seem like nice straps for the price. Someone else mentioned the lack of cows in Thailand, is there any way to know where the leather comes from? I was reading that there is a shortage of cattle hides and they have to be imported from other countries, increasing the costs.
I reckon unless u can ensure that the double AR is of a good quality, stick to the single AR. The scratched outer coating would irritate the hell outta me
sorry to bother everyone but how would you contact those whom mod panerai? i have a 359 a 505 and a 389 i would love to mod. any suggestions? thanks
