Anyone every purchase a Rep Ladies Cartier Tank Francaise?

I am looking for this watch below, but I am not too familiar with this particular rep, and what constitutes the best quality rep and best price. I know the TD, but just was curious if any users on here have purchased this particular rep before and from where, and what you would recommend. Many thanks!!

I don’t think you have many options for this one. Last time I checked, only 8848F was still producing them.
I’m only familiar with the SS version and I believe it offers good value for the money. It’s such a petite watch that most of the “flaws” are easily overlooked (imo). Unless your girl walks around with a loupe, I’m sure she’ll be happy with it

I went to Cartier to buy a gen Tank Francaise in SS for myself, the medium size version

In SS, the dial side brushing gives it a weird look. Like a dress watch trying to be a tool watch

I ended up buying my Santos

That said, the gold version was spectacular

No clue about the rep quality though, if you buy it, please report back

If that model existed on a bigger size, I would have bought one for me

I'm a Cartier fanboy and have a few between my wife and myself, among them a GEN Francaise for the wife, but I would STRONGLY advise you against purchasing any replica with gold plating, MUCH more so one with a gold plated bracelet. Once you have the first scratch where the plating is worn through and the base metal is shining through, the watch becomes virtually worthless as it then SCREAMS fake.

My rule of thumb: Cartier watches in stainless steel, primarily the Tank Must, the Cartier Santos and the Santos Dumont in steel are great buys as replicas; but if you want gold there's no way around buying GEN.

Many thanks. That is great to know. I will try and urge her to get the steel rep. Lord knows I do NOT have 24k to drop on a gen.
