Anyone else make 082 and 201A?

Hey all,

My subject title about says it all. I have not searched extensively, but is there anyone else that sells either the 201A or 082 models?

I also could not find any one else. I already built my 201A.

But I am still waiting for 082 to be further improved. Did not talk to DVN though, but I am sure he will improve it more like those models he did in the past. Quite a number of areas need improvement.

Well, for me, I would like to see the improvement on font, CG, back, crown, and buckle.

CG: If you look back in the past DVN has several version of CG for stainless steel version. On the PVD case also has several CG versions. This Ti CG need a bit more curve on the front side (dial side). It looks too flat for me. It is also hard to mod the curve on CG by hand.

Dial: also the current 082 is second version already. I would love to see fatter font.

Crown: the current titanium crown is somehow too thin in proportional with his current CG. The crown itself is kind of tool dull. I love to see more shiny.

Back: I think the engraving is tool blurry.

Buckle: As far as I saw on post, it is a brush stainless steel. I saw the real Ti buckle of 24 mm available on one of the web that our member suggest but I could not remember. I think DVN later on will offer the true Ti buckle.

Well yes or no, right or wrong is just a personal preference and experience.

Yes, this new crown looks a bit too thin. The dial font is too thin, as well.

1. The titanium buckle. If it is 100% Titanium now, he may already update it. I still keep memorizing when he first introduce it, it said brush stainless steel.
2. The CG from my looking from many of gens, the front side (dial side) should be curve. If you look from side, the curve will tend to go along with the case profile. Unlike the bottom side (back plate side), the CG will be flat. I think the CG at the current version is not quite curve enough so make it look more stiff feeling. The lever also does not seat close on case. There is some gap. This is very critical to me for appearance of Panerai.

This is from my observing. I also learnt from the watches I bought from DVN. I have to buy new upgrade CG from him to replace the old one which is also from him. With the price nearly USD400, I will expect better version. It is worth the time to wait, I think.
