Decided to finally go Pam.
My rep SMP has been very good so far (4+ years, 21 dives), I was curious if anyone has taken their Pam diving?
I'm just a recreational / sport diver, nothing serious. Did some wrecks in Lake Superior once, had my rep SMP down to 112ft. Still going. Swimming with the kids a lot, never take it off in the shower, etc. Are the Pam reps the same?

Thanks

A lot of it is luck with QC on reps. Some reps can never be reliably waterpoofed, and others can be reasonably waterproof right out of the box. A super rep PAM (111, most Submersibles) will be more inclined towards the latter. In any case, I would recommend sending the watch to one of our modders for a good quality waterproofing if you are planning to dive with it.

Plenty of threads here on this topic. The common reply is, "No. It's a rep." If you have the means to take it apart, grease it up and test it, go ahead. If it tests OK, well, there you go.

Best of luck.

Never understood showering with the watch on the wrist. Unless it's a winding up time.
PAM's crown is very difficult to seal, so, the answer is NO.

Yes, with an old H-fac 112 low beat. Used last year within two july and august to swim and dive to 10/12 mt with success. After two months, the problem was the rusty on the middle case, near the bezel and the CG. But waterproof was perfect.

I don't let my PAMs anywhere near the water unless i have had a watchsmith or modder to a proper waterproofing and then tested them. I now have an 029 and 441 that are capable of it (waterproofed and tested to 4 atm), and I'll be trying the 029 on a dive this summer along with an IWC Cousteau Diver.
