Mine are the toolwatch kind submersibles so I don´t call it damage. Fascinating little design.
That cg-device makes the watch heavier on one side, so if it drops it will hit the floor/ the rock/ the marble with the cg first.
It´s o-shaped and open in the middle - it flexes somewhat. This will absorb quite a lot of the first impact and thus protect the
caseset and movement. Preventing the striping of the crown while being watertight is what it was designed for in the first place.
Dropwatch&toolwatch, mde to be used, , it´s so heavy it alreadyslipped& dropped twice - right on the cg-device.
