Any reviews on the K11 Tank Musts with colored dials?

I've seen plenty on K11 vs AF vs F1 regular Tank Must (still not sure which to go for!) but haven't seen any reviews / reports on the K11 colored dial versions like https://jtime.io/us/cartier-tank-la...ligator-leather-strap-swiss-ronda-quartz.html

It looks pretty decent to me, although cabochon has slightly incorrect shape as usual for K11. I'm a bit concerned on the hands which look like they've been cheaply stamped out and as it's such a simple design that could ruin it. I've not seen the gen in person but maybe they also look cheap - hard to tell from photos.

Can anyone comment on this and general quality?

Saw a post on Reddit from someone who owned the gen comparing it to the K11. His opinion is the K11 dial is . Doesn't have the depth or luster of the gen lacquer dials.

Thanks for suggesting Reddit - I don’t hang out there much but just searched and found QC pics that look pretty good and better than on dealer websites (at least hands and cabochon seem to be latest version). Hard to tell on dial from pics but I expect it lacks the subtleties of gen lacquer:

Received my K11 tank must in blue (along with a classic white large) and wanted to share some quick impressions:

• Quality in general is very good - feels exactly like normal K11 tank, including correct updated crown / cabochon
• Cabochon has good color
• Dial printing is crisp
• Dial color is good and has lots of depth. When there are no reflections it's a deep inky indigo. In gen pics there is a great deal of variation due to the lacquered dial, and the rep has similar properties. In pictures it looks matt but in reality is very shiny, much like a Rolex Submariner dial.
• Due to shiny dial and lack of AR there are a lot of reflections
• Hands are the weakest part - they are just stamped with none of the curvature and nicer finishing of the regular white tank's hands. It's hard to tell from photos but I think the gen has curved hands, but this isn't a major tell as it's not visible on the wrist - all you see in general is the shiny hands anyway. Shame as this is the only major weak point I noticed.
• Caseback is identical to the regular white tank
• Strap is very stiff - reviews say the same about the gen! Color seems good match to dial / gen. I'd probably replace but I suspect I would with the gen strap as well...
• Buckle is nicely done - clean and correct engraving on the underside

Overall I think this will be a catch and release for me as I prefer the classic tank, but these are good reps IMO and on the wrist would completely pass for gen. If they updated the hands they'd pass even closer inspection.


Comparison with white version (this is the best I could capture the dial color without reflections, though the strap has come out a shade too indigo):

The stamped hands make it a pass for me. I hope someone fixes this small piece then I’ll be in line for a black dial.
