No news of the 911 rep. But it could just be around the corner. Who knows? Like you said it's easy to replicate, only the dial is needed. Everything else is in production already.

That lens effect might be fixed sooner or later but hard to know without considering how many of the current batch of crystals with lens effect the factory has in stock (or alternatively, if it's possible to rework those crystals to get the no lens effect). I'd settle for a decent rep, everything else being perfect, with a crystal with good AR..

mysterio do you think a rep bracelet will fit the potential rep 911? I'm a bit confused when it comes to 44mm luminor cases:lolcina:

There is no telling. There is more then one rep bracelet and we don't know what case the factory might use, if they'll just re-use the current design which is inaccurate to the gen, since it's using the P.5000 movement (this case is what's used in the current 8 days 44mm reps).or they'll use a new design. Time will tell. Not to mention, I've not seen any Risti post a picture of their PAM911 on a bracelet yet.

What is this lens effect?

Lens effect is something you see when you view the watch at an almost perpendicular level to your field of view. To borrow a picture from the new XF PAM024 thread:

You can see how the angle makes the crystal refract the light that it looks like a lens, yet the part of the crystal that is not as angled like the area at the 12 o'clock position is still clear. I hope I've explained it well enough. :) .

Just to understand: the problem is that many PAM reps DO have this lens effect whereas modern gens do not? It's strange that you say so because the PAM 564 ZF that I bought last year had no lens effect at any angle, was completely clear even when viewed from the side.

BTW, this lens effect is caused by lack of proper AR coating right? So basically any crystal can easily be modded to avoid it no?
