In the exile forum there was discussion re the v2 release of the VSF clone P.9000. I know its made its way into the PAM 498...has anyone heard any more news on the new movement making its way to other models? I'm debating pulling the trigger on a 351, but impatience may get the better of me before VSF throws the new movement in.

Rumor has it that VS is work'n on the V2 Pam616. Other than the movement, they carbotech will also be improved (will be 3 layers or more). Not sure it's true, but they will definitely upgrade other models that has the P9000 movement... It's just a matter of when they will be upgraded

I asked puretime if VSF will update older pams with the V2 superclone. They told me that this will happen in the middle of the year

Somebody to tell them we need this mvt into 382 and 305 hahaha

I was hoping pam382 to be one of the first 'old' models with the new movement. I think that due to the nature of bronze (patina), they are not making big batches like models made of steel or titanium. But that is only my thought...

VSF actually had 2 revisions of 616 and that's with the first P9000 clone movement. V2 basically offered 3 colours of carbontech. I would have thought they would call it V3 to avoid confusion.

Just saw the 389 with updated movement on puretime. They still use pics of the v1. I wonder why they didn't start with open caseback models. Any information of 382?

I wonder if VSF is trying to clear its stock first by modding the V1 P9000 into this "V1.5" movement. It just doesn't make any sense that they already released the V2 P9000 w/ gen-like function and correct deco and still using the V1-look movement w/ the function fixed...

I caved....put the order in for the 351 with v1 movement (unless Im happily surprised with an unannounced v2). Ill either convince myself Im happy with v1, or Ill m2m in a few months and buy again.

I queried photos on TS website and I got two showing 616 with the new P9000 V2 so this is definitely happening :)
Can you share these pics? Because pics on ts website shows a movement with v1 decoplate

there was a refresh made by XF/V6F with the VSF clone movement in the earlier days, I guess that was not factored as a count in VSF's books. Thus, this as V2?

I would better wait until summer before ordering what is supposed to mount P9000V2 superclone movement. Otherwise you can end with an hybrid P9000v1.5. Let's be patient.
