Since so many got Davidsen's Ultimate Fiddy I won't be able to get mine till the end of March, but Davisen was kind enough to offer an exchange or a refund. Just wanted to get some opinions on this piece. Font type and spacing are the particualrs.

I am not an expert on this, so I will just give you my opinion - take it for what it is. I think its a very good "homage" watch. I don't believe its particularly close to the original piece. Meaning that you would never fool connoisseurs. The crown and crown guard are so far off that to me, it can only be considered a homage watch.

Having said that, I own one. I am not particularly tickled by trying to own a watch that "fools" people. I prefer watches that say something to me. I usually end up building "franken" ones ("wrong" dials or hand combinations).

Oh, one last thing. I originally got mine with plexi, and after seeing it in the flesh, opted to replace it with the sapphire "jobbie".

Thanks for the comment. I really like this piece and have no intentions of fooling anyone. However I find it reprehensible to wear something inferior when something superior is out there. I just wanted to see if there was a more accurate option out there.
I think I am going to purchase this piece, but just wanted a few opinions.

I think Davidsen's vintage pieces are second to none, but I'm probably a bit biased as I own one.

I don't think there are any 6152/1 watches out there that are better, no.

Let me re-phrase, Davidsen's 6152/1 is the best out there from any dealer. That watch from RBJ is a work of art...

I own several of Davidsens vintage 47MM pieces and they are the best out of the box that you can get.

Do you think that his orange dials are too 'dark'? :?:

Thanks guys. I just wanted to do my due diligence. Actually, I am just piggy backing off of you guys, but a decision has been made.
I have decided to be one of the first to get Davidsen's new and improved 111H. Delivery to take place in 2 weeks. Finger are crossed and hope there are no hiccups. In the interim I am building a light box, so expect pictures and a full review.

Red, which one of his "new and improved 111H's" are you referring too? As far as I knew, he was back to the drawing boards trying to make some improvmenets and it hadn't been finished yet?

Per my conversation with Davidsen he said that he is making the new dial, and that the dial will be ready in about two weeks.
I am assuming this is the dial thats has been reworked since his last update. I am really looking forward to the accuracy of this dial.

Yeah, a bit perhaps. That's a matter of personal opinion, though. You can have them in his regular C3 if you prefer.
