Just got in my Pam 048 40mm today, very happy with it, and of course one is never enough.

Thinking about the Pam 177 Ti 44mm with Asian Unitas 6497 17 J Manual Handwind movement.

Anything I should know about the movement before hand? Maybe look into the other movements?

I am in the same boat as you right now....

I was waiting for Davidson's ultimate, but it appears the quest has either been delayed or derailed.

I am leaning towards getting one from Belial if the wait isn't too long.

As for that movement, I don't think I have any manual asians.

I was thinking about waiting also, but I couldn't . Decided to get one from davidsen. I have read alot about the movements some say good some say bad some ? Well I got the itch and I will hope it turns out for the good. Once I get it and figure out how to take a decent pic or two I will let you all know.

Manual ends up being a pain in the ass?

Winding it is part of the joy of owning it... feels like a true horologie lover's watch... ya'll know what I mean once you get addicted to winding it...

Just be careful not to wind to much. I had to send my PAM 111 back because of my winding addiction.

Other than just the movement, you may wish to also note the followings in a good 177H rep...

1. Correct high cannon pin
2. Thick CG and correct thick Ti crown (see 'borrowed' pic of gen from Paneristi.com, compared to Davidsen's)

@Baker22 How much winding is enough? Wind fairly slow and it will stop when you've wound it enough. Don't muscle it and you'll never have a problem.

Just wind till you feel you can't go anymore. I assume you are winding it gently...not rushing allowed...

About to press the trigger for the 177H.
