removed... I would suggest not to click on the link as the site can monitor where the link is referred from. Copy the link, paste it in your browser.

Ahh, very true. The guy posting that watch had more balls than brains. Exactly what I am going to do today, go to TZ and post every rep that I own and try to pass them off as gens [smilie=violent1.gif]

This is how the web works.

Here's the last line in my webserver logs. Note the image was linked to from RWI:
Code:
70.nnn.nn.190 - - [18/Feb/2007:15:18:40 +0000] "GET /posts/wristshot/20070208.jpg HTTP/1.1" 200 146338 "http://replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16934&start=30" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; InfoPath.1)"
Looks like someone is looking at the wristcheck post.

Here's an unusual one:
Code:
81.n.nnn.207 - - [18/Feb/2007:15:17:34 +0000] "GET /posts/rolex/tog-01.jpg HTTP/1.1" 200 146006 "http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=10043" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; es-ES; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1"
That's the "My Collection" post on RWG.

Here's someone that found my homepage from an article linked on Digg:
Code:
76.nnn.n.152 - - [17/Feb/2007:01:54:24 +0000] "GET /link/3467/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx HTTP/1.1" 200 14950 "http://www.digg.com/movies/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1"
That one shows that someone on Digg saw a link to my page and clicked onto it.

This is the exact method Paypal used to shut down PT and Reg's Paypal accounts.

(please note, the logs have been obfuscated slightly for anonymity reasons)

HE HE HE. See what I told you. That's why don't use stolen pics from gen sites too... They will be able to see where the files are opened from. Save it to your disk then reupload to your own space.

And I would suggest that right clicking on it does the same thing. So open another browser and paste the link :D

No, what there saying is that the logs on the webserver can/will bring unwanted attention to our little home here.

To be honest, there's no harm in clicking their link. What are they going to do?

It's not like it's in their interest to even check their referrer logs for us as they are not a manufacturer. They know we exist and a few clicks here and there aren't going to hurt.
