I take no credit for finding this. It was posted on Repgeek and couldn't find it on this forum, so just thought I would share.

I made this comment in he original thread:

"This is probably a good time to ask a question I've often wondered...The instruction/user manual for the watch pictured says "Datejust" while the watch being sold is a Sub.

Is this correct? I always thought that a "Datejust" is a specific model of watch Rolex makes...Or is it just a generic term which means the watch has a date function?"

The OP notes to look at the rehaut engraving.

RWI's thoughts??

The etched crown looks too noticable. Looks like a rep to me.

He has a feedback rating of 17 but has only sold 5 items, one being a vintage Rolex watch & one being a diamond vintage ear rings........heres the catch tho, they had a offer a better price button & were both nearly sold at a huge discount, not shady but he did tale off $1,600 off the Rolex & $450 off $1,200 ear rings. But he got positive feedbacks on both of those auctions, so...........

This watch here is just an open auction............he doesnt show any authentic papers although he states they come with the watch which was bought in 2009......Also, the pictures are terrible, not one picture showing the date magnification!

Every picture in this auction seems it was taken to avoid showing something.........he needs macro shots, email him & ask to post macro close up shots & a lume shot of the pearl.

He wrote the auction up right but something doesnt feel right about this watch.

The shadiest thing I see is its a private auction, which means you cant see who is bidding on the watch. Click on the bids & it says private on every bid. He never had a private auction before, why start now?

When I see private auctions or someone always has private things auctioned off in their feedback, they are hiding something & it makes me nervous to buy from them...........

Thats weird, how was it just sold if it was an open auction?

There was still 1 day & 1 hour left.......im thinking before his watch gets pulled out because of it possibly being a fake, he took what he could get, $4,850 & ran.

He probably got scared of everyone emailing him & questioning the authentication, like me.......I emailed & asked him if he could take a picture of the official papers he says he has with the watch, next thing you know, auction over, LMAO!

I think you can early end an auction.
What I saw on his profile is that he sold another Rolex and a diamond earring, either he is a professional schemer or he is the real deal.
