Another Angus 111E victim

yes... I pulled the trigger! It was a birthday gift for me!

Some quick and dirty shots of 111E ultimate from Angus, who was a delight to deal with, as everyone knows...

I'll add more indepth review in a few days (consider it a sequel to the already well written review from my predecessors).

Only thing is that one of the screws are semi-stripped... I had to push it from the other end to unscrew this thing which was nerve wrecking... Maybe I should get some River spring screws.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. This is one of the nicest 111E out of the box. Thumbs up to Angus....although I have never made a single purchase from him, he continues to answer all my annoying inquiries in a very professional manner. I'm just waiting for the chance to make my first purchase from him.

The 036 should be a brown dial, and the 111E is most definitely black I know cause I had one (maybe the purplish AR is what's throwing you off) But I do agree it's a great choice, probably the most WOW factor for me of any Pam I've bought out of the box. Enjoy it!

Ive been looking at Angus' 111h and e series.. but in his pictures, the 111E dial has too green of a colour, but your numbers are whiter (more like the gen)... i think if this is what he is offering now, i might go broke quicker than i had hoped to.

I was wondering if you got it with the ETA or asian movement? and how is it performing?

Angus has a dealer section here on this board, he sells under the name "Puretime". And yes I've had a few of Davidsen's offerings and Angus 111E, I would definitely go with Angus of all the Pam reps I've owned this one wowed me the most out of the box, it is a great watch.

You had the watch for quite a bit now, how is the lume? Just picked up a PAm 192 from another member and it needs relume, so id like to send out all at once if i buy the 111E from PT.

I'm not a huge fan of superlumes, as gens don't really have super lumes either. I'm more for accuracy, and the dial lume color out of the box is acceptable for me; to make it perfect, obviously vaclume would make it look more accurate.

Congrats!

I think you received Angus' 111E with newer dial, which has more ivory color lume markers (more accurate).

Mine came very green, and it definitely needs to be relumed (not because of the lume at night, but during daytime).

another stupid question, but what's the difference between a PAM 111H and PAM 111E?
and will you guys go for the ETA swiss mouvement or the chinese one (is there a big difference in reliability?).

111H = sandwich dial (numbers cut out)
111E = sausage dial (painted numbers)
the movts are visually different from one another...

the asian is as reliable (from what I hear) as the swiss...

The NEW dagger swan CN movements are basically visually identical to the Swiss. Angus' 111E ultimates have the new CN's in them.

As for reliability, some say the new CN's are just as nice, and some say Swiss or bust...

at the end of the day, we are all buying reps...

I just got the Angus PAM 111E today. The lume of the hands and dial are greenish. How difficult is it to change the dial and hands? Is there a tutorial or pictures on this for PAM? Thanks.

What you need is a re-lume work by Vaccum. His Vaclume (some form of C1 and C3 mix) can make the dial and hands look whiter like gen. Replacing the dial won't help much, since other dials' numbers are wrong color too (too yellow). (In addition, I don't believe other dials fit into Angus' 111E case without further modding).
