Another 127 question

Hi everyone,

I would like to get a really really good 127 E rep, and I was wondering if one of our trusted dealers was selling it, or if I'd better wait for a modded one to show up on the member sale section.

What do you think ?

IF you're patient I would wait for a used DSN. DSN has the best 127 out IMO. There isnt a lot of distortion which you need to worry about since its a domed crystal. His AR and lume are great. Also his movement and dial are suberb.

But if you wait there are deals to be had...

I'm not considering buying a used one because of the price, in fact I was wondering if a modded one would be much better than (as you mentioned it) a DSN ?

If you wanted to build one and use something like an EL case and then mod it from there it would also be a great rep.

I would love to try to mod reps myself, but I'm quite clumsy. I have no problem handling a big crowbar, but I definitely woudn't be the best person to work on these tiny watch parts.

Therefore, I need to buy watches that are already modded or make them mod by someone else, which is much more expensive, but in the end, it is not as expensive as me screwing a watch by trying to mod it

That rep is out of production, so you'd have to find one FS from a private seller.

Thanks pcsam, you know I normally wouldn't say no to that Ebel of yours but in this case I have to decline.

Even with all of DSN's QC problems he still the best out of the box 127. Not to mention DSN actively tries to improve his products. Updating dial print, lume color. etc.

True, plus he does you good if you point out the faults of the watch he has sent you.
