Another 113 PVD Arrived

Thanks a lot D4me for facilitating the group buy. I am very happy with the watch. It is worth the money and worth the wait (not long at all).

Just a short evaluation: everything works as described, movement is running great and visually this watch is stunning. Both caseback and crystal are sapphire.

How's the PVD compared to DSN's and the shiny standard rep "PVD"?

It looks pretty good on a picture, but how is it in real life?

PVD is brushed, standard rep not beadblasted like DSN PVD. However, given the price, it's probably one of the best deal of the month. The main attraction is the whole idea of white dial + black case. Movement is very nice H series swan neck, correct dagger Asian 6497-2 (which is much more accurate to the gen) than the Swiss version.

Depends on how you are going to use the watch for. This one will be my weekend watch. DSN has superior PVD quality but you've got to pay for it.

If budget is your constrain, do not hesitate to get this watch. I will contact D4me. This can potentially be a very very nice standard 111h. Given the price, this will sell like hot cake. Movement is very close to the gen article.

Agreed. The contrast is striking. It's a white dial watch I think I would wear.

Go ahead and look at the lettering on that movement.. tell me if they are engraved or magnets like the cheap movements...

Those movements do look great.. I really like the result of this. I am right with Allergydoc... I dont like white dials but this really made for a nice look.

DAMMIT! All this talk about the 113PVD project watch is making me want to cancel my holiday and rush back home now to check my mailbox....wrist developing some sort of allergy itch, must be down with ineedanewwatch-itis.

It's definitely engraved... This is what many dealers called Swiss but in truth, it's all very fine Chinese copying machine.

I just did a disassembly of this watch, sorry no pictures but this watch is amazing for its value. Don't bother to talk about to accuracy to gen, etc. Just this watch by itself is impressive and well built.

Some thoughts:
-Crystal is thick sapphire (thicker than the one comes with my PAM036). Same goes for caseback crystal. Single sided AR coating actually works, not for blue tint show only.

-T's crown will fit this watch.

-Movement is amazingly well made. One of the best Asian hi beat 6497-2 that I have seen. Lettering is engraved. Well defined CdG and working swan neck regulator. Finishing is still not genuine Soprod standard but very very nice.

-Lume on hands is good but the dial lume sucks big time. Lume on the dial is too green, different from hands. Still need reluming on both hands and dial.

-Strap is wearable and pretty soft.

-PVD finishing is acceptable. Not so shiny, has the brushed finishing but not beadblasted.

If d4me can source this as 111h, this will be a great seller. Only CG pin flattening and crown mods required (T's crown will fit).

Just did reluming yesterday. Now using v10 2-8micron grain

The result is quite good. No more too green dots!
