another 111h questions, hopefully my last

ive narrowed it down to a 111h from ruby. now, the question is, asain 6497 or swiss 6497-1 swan neck?
Are both watches the same besides the movement?
Is it true the cannon pin is longer on the asain and doesnt need to be fixed?
there's a little over a $100 difference, which im willing to pay if its worth it.

Yes, typically the Asian movements have the longer canon pin already installed. The main thing to consider, IMO, with the Asian6497s is that you can't find replacement parts, and Swiss parts won't work. So, if something goes wrong with the movement that a simple service/cleaning won't fix, you have to replace it.

A bigger question is if Ruby has the Swiss swan neck movements available, now.
