An idea to help with scam prevention: sellers can add link to their feedback (+ how to)

Just to begin I’m not a mod or in any way associated with the admin team. I’m fact, I don’t think they like me very much based on a previous interaction. I just wanted to share an idea as a member who trades here a bit and genuinely want to help give everyone a better experience.

HOW TO:

I just figured an easy way to add a link for all potential buyers to see your feedback and it’s quite easy.
1. Go to the feedback Feedback Section on the forum
2. Search for your username and select ‘search titles only’ and ‘this forum’

3. Wait for the results to show and save the link.
4. That’s it, now you can just bookmark or save the link somewhere and add it to your sales post I’m personally going to do that on all my future sales.

I like this.

Your name is your reputation and trust is hard earned, but very easily lost.

Your name is therefore something you should both protect, and project, when you are looking for someone to part with their hard earned cash with you, versus another member selling the same/similar watch.

Provenance is key when posting an M2M sales thread. Where you got it & why you're selling, keeps things nice & simple.

It's also why the Feedback section is moderated too to ensure links are provided on all feedback (both good and bad) & end to end transparency & tracking is maintained.

I remember another member, struggling to think of username atm, who did a little banner about the number of successful sales in each sales post, always gave me a chuckle when I saw it.

As always, buyers should do their due diligence & this is a MUST READ before even thinking of sending money to a randomer off the internet.

Its your money, so please make sensible decisions, not rash ones.

There's already a rule for buyers in the feeback section : they must put a link to the M2M sale thread they got the watch from when posting a feedback.
