You have to appreciate his candor. I would even bid if the pearl were centered.

Confession time: many years ago, before I even knew replica communities and forums existed, I owned a cheap low-end replica Breitling that I put on eBay for sale clearly advertised as a replica. I thought: what the heck, someone may want this thing. I think I had bought it in Malaysia for about 30 bucks. It had faux chronos etc. Anyway, the auction ran and I sold it to some guy for about $600. I insisted on talking to him on the phone to check he knew exactly what he was buying. Well, he was adamant he wanted it for 600 bucks. And I should mention I had lots of other bids on the item too. ...I guess in those days (I think it was at least 10 years ago) you couldn't find reps online as easily, and 600 bucks must have sounded like a lot less than $6000 to wear a Breitling watch!
Anyway, those were the days when you could have put your babies on eBay.

Before I found this forum I used to look on eBay for reps as I had no idea where to get them from otherwise and with buyer protection it seemed like a fairly safe bet. Like rooster said even a poor quality rep would go for hundreds. I saw a Pam 111 rep with box and papers (that at the time I thought looked amazing) that was up for £800 and I almost got that until common sense prevailed. I have a lot to thank RWI for!
