I saw the exact same thing, and thought it was quite funny.

I also noticed on some watches made in CH, they have the swiss seal somewhere on the watch. At first I thought that this was just a seal of pride that didn't have meaning, but apparently it is quite a big deal. Check out: http://thewatchery.blogspot.com/2008/09/what-is-geneva-seal.html
