After taking numerous peoples advice on how to tackle the subject of a dented CG lever pin hole, I strapped on my bigboy boots, bought some sandpaper, and began.

The watch is a 112 from DSN. It's truly a magnificent piece.
here's the before...

and here's the after...

I'm not finished yet. I've still got to even out the curve at the ends of the CG where it meets the watch-head, but I think I did an alright job. There's still a noticable gap where the dent is, but it's getting to where I don't feel comfortable sanding any further at the moment. Maybe after my Cape Cod cloth comes (to polish the top of the lever pin and make it look a little more like the GEN), i'll get the sandpaper out again, and really her tackle head-on.

I'm pretty proud of the work i've put in so far. I do have a new CG coming from DSN, but I wanted to try the simple MOD to see how far I could take it.
I hope you enjoy my progress!

cheers all!

i would sand it down some more...until the round edges are gone....this will make the CG thinner...and the end corners will run out with the edges of the case. then get ver fine sanding ( almost polishing ) sandpaper.... i like the CG better brushed not polished...dont care if it looks like gen or not.

you did very well already...looks 100% better !

thanks bro. if it weren't for your suggestions i'd probably still be lost. so just sand it completly flat? get rid of the curve overall? not a bad idea. eliminate the "trying to achieve the perfect curve" look that would take me hours if not days to achieve.

Awesome job from the b4 pic. Almost there.
BTW I got my DSN about 4 mos ago and IMO I never needed to do any of this? Did I get the "star" of the litter?

i suggest to keep sanding it down until - like i said - the CG surface lines up with the edges of the case. imo - this would look best.
i even filed out the square cut out from the CG to a perfect 90 degree square !

look at mine !!

this is what I don't get, why can't they all be " choice pickings of the lot". Really is pot luck with this stuff
