A while ago I was searching for a Panerai and found quite interesting offer in Russia.
Agreed with Seller to get watch checked by official Panerai service in my city in Europe. After 1h inspection they said... "can not 100% confirm is it replica or original", so they can not recommend me buying it. Well, the Seller was shocked and said they servicemen in Russia confirmed the originality of the watch. Nevertheless...

I started to think... Even if those guys can not be sure, why should I buy original?
Who makes the best Pam replicas right now? I'm searching for ~44 size, old "crown" version Radiomir's.
Would consider 183, 190, 210, maybe 232. Simple, clean look, manual wind, no date, sandwitch dial. On forums I only find old threads with out of production sellers.

The old models are rare, as they are out of production. You can try your luck m2m.

If the service center specialist does not know whether the watch is gen or not, it simply means that this is a very bad specialist. What kind of model was it, if not a secret?
(If this is PAM183, then the best HF for them does not even have Y incabloc, which can be seen on a cursory examination)

Regarding the question, I join everyone who commented above. All the models you have listed are currently out of production, but by checking the sales section and posting W2B in the appropriate section, there is every chance. This occurs from time to time.

Classic 45mm radiomirs. I would love to see a reissue of these models. Even better would be if they made 754/753.

It seems like right now it’s either 44mm luminors or submersibles.
Check out the 388, I think vsf has it in production. Correct me if I’m wrong.

H-fac did amazing reps of the 183, but I still can't believe Pam workers "could not" spot the difference.
As explained above, the non-Y bloc movement is the instant tell on this generation of reps.

Here is my stock H-fac for reference.

Talking about Y incabloc, some are for sale on the bay, I'm thinking about getting one for mine. This is what's your 183 was equipped with isn't it granvino?

Very nice watches, guys.
my assumption is that the PAM I was looking was some kind of modded, both original and replica parts. That could be the reason why noone was 100% sure.

I agree with KOT1917 and @mrsullivan, a good specialist should note the difference even with some gen parts involved

Anyway, try to publish here some good pics of the movement, you will get the solution inmediately

It was a full Noob/Marlin movement with some swiss parts in it and installed by him. The rest was stock H Fac PAM 183. A very rare gem of a rep......

I should have guessed, it now makes sense looking at your former 183.
I'm in the hunt of a 111 from him actually.

Back to the topic, intersted in knowing more about OP's situation too. Let us know what is to be said about this watch and post pics if you can.

Fascinating thread, and amazing that a rep can get so close. No doubt an AD does not have the comprehensive knowledge that people on these forums have, so perhaps not surprising.

When looking at the PAM183, what are the 'tells'? I had read dial (digit/lume colour) but also some tells when looking at the movement?
