Take a look at this...

You can see that the crystal on the left is raised about 1.5mm while the right side is completely flush (which shouldn't be).

Anyhow, this is the SECOND time this has happened to me from ordering from TS. My first order, the crystal on the ceramic sub was like this, and now this recent order the damn 177L has bad crystal placement. Also I didn't get any QC pics like I've asked...

I emailed Mark about the ceramic sub last time regarding the crystal and simply says its a normal defect from the factory... I expect more than just simply saying its normal...

If anyone can recommend someone here in the CON-US who can reset this crystal please mention their name or PM me!

I know what you guys mean, I love the watch! Everything is solid but the crystal. I don't know how many times I admired it today... but almost every time I'm reminded that the crystal isn't set correctly ><

Also the strap is phenomenal!! I got a lot softer after 2 days of wear. Hopefully dealers start selling them separately, I'd love to get a walnut color strap.

Put a towel down on the floor.

Put the watch face down on said towel.

Push really damn hard on the case back ring. NOT ON THE GLASS CASEBACK.

Put a towel around a table vise and gently squeeze the sucker straight. Otherwise send it back to China for a fix. The QC on yours, must have been done by a meth head.

That cannot be fixed! I think you should get rid of the watch and let me have it! Yeah, I know, I'm such a good guy...

On a serious note, if you're not too sure what to do, just go to your local watch smith and he'll resit it for you for a small fee. My watch smith does it for 1 quid

I would get with Katt or Vaccum to see if they can sort you out. Have the movement serviced while it's there and you'll be worry free for the next 5+ years.

Mate, go get a crystal press at harbor freight.com - $14 and the kit will do both 44mm and 47mm PAMs; 1 and done.

Good advice here, IMO. Katt has done right by me. I highly recommend him.

I'd offer to buy your 177, too, like those other tricksters. But I already have one!

Wow thanks for letting me know. There's a harbor freight about 20 mins from where I live. Might check it out! Thanks!!

Here's the press if anyone's wondering... http://www.harborfreight.com/watch-case-press-with-nylon-dies-91621.html

1/2 the price of ebay ones!!

So many helpful hints. What a fine upstanding group around here!

I couldn't agree more!

Sometimes, the press again the table and using the vise trick will not work and might just crack your crystal. So beware. The proper way is to open the watch, remove the movement and push out the crystal. Check that the nylon gasket is good. In some case, the nylon gasket's quality is poor and thickness is uneven. This causes the crystal not to sit even. If no problem, then use a crystal press to press it in evenly. Make sure the crystal is covered protected with a cloth if you r using metal press dies and do it nice and slow. A slip will give you nice battle scars on your watch. Good to pick up some watch repair skills. You will need it with rep watches. In my experience, rep watches always have issues. I open up 90% of my reps as they have dust on dial, screws not tighten and so on. Their QC is really dubious...
