Advice on Breitling Navitimer

Hi all,

I've been wading through a fair number of posts here in order to get this Navitimer I've fallen in love with and saw a number of threads discussing the BP and GF variants. However, I just came across these versions and wanted to ask if these were better/worse in any ways? They vary a fait bit in price:

I know about the sunken date issue on most if not all models and read that there was a mode to fix that but am not sure of the details/cost. Thank you!

I have bought a lot of Breitling's since I joined RWI 4 years ago. The Noob Factory doesn't sell watches direct to customers. They sell only to dealers like our Trusted Dealers. I am not positive but I think ChinaNoobWatch is a scam site. None of the factories have websites. This site is trying to convince you they are selling a SWISS 7750. It is not true. There is a reason why we have trusted dealers that are vetted before being allowed to sell to our members. They are TRUSTED.

BP World Navi with a black dial is the best Navi. You will find it listed in the NWBIG list. My process for buying a Rep is as follows. I have Navitimer's from BP, JF, GF, and one unknown factory.

Find the model number of the Gen such as AB0120
Search using Google for BreitlingSource AB0120
Use the specs to compare the watches listed on our TD's sites
For starters make sure the model number is correct. Many times it is not.
Compare the location of the date and subdials
If the subdials function the date will be sunken
Swiss movements in a Rep are a fantasy.

I have one of the modified Navi's from JF factory that was modified by LocoLouie to fix the sunken date. He is no longer around. If you search his name you can find the posts on why he crashed and burned. It is a long story.

I would definitely not buy a watch from the site. Rather, I was using it to see the reps from other factories that I hadn't heard of. I will only buy from one of the trusted TDs stated here.

I've heard nothing but good things about the BP World Navi (black dial) but unfortunately there is no way such a big watch will work on my puny 6.5" wrists hence the search for a beautiful black dial Navi Classic A23322 at 42mm (often mistakenly called a Navi 01) or a AB0120. Tried a gen on and it fit beautifully.

I did read a bit about Louie and I guess getting it modded by him is out of the question. Pity as I might pay a pretty penny for a modded one right now.

Those are garbage except for the third one, which is the JF.... for navitimer stay BP, GF and hopefully KOR cause they have a new navitimer

I am interested in a Navitimer with Wings logo and the TDs havent listed anything with the wings from those factories stated above with Chrono's at 3,6,9. They do have some new factories named OXF and V9F respectively. Are they decent enough or should I stay away from those options?

Both JF and BP have wings and chrono at 3,6,9

Hey everyone, managed to order one of the JF Navitimers from Chazingtime but first it was delayed due to the CNY break and now they are telling me that the watch is with the maker and thus I can't get the QC yet. Since I still have time before I see the QC, I wanted to ask if anyone else is able to do the LocoLouie mod to fix the sunken date?
