Are all rep Pam 308 hand wind?
I ask because I have just had in front of me a 308 with 7750/28800
not only that but with rollerball crown lever and shorter pushers

I know the existing model had the quick change band system as does this .This also has proper AR sapphire and the the quickest reacting lume I have ever seen 2 seconds and it lights up like a Christmas tree

Could this be a new version or are they out there like this already?

I think I am going to buy them anyway but would be nice to know if it's new or not

I can't take pictures a moment as rep has left i have asked him to drop them back around later

Yes the gen is hand wind .
But the rep hand wind is wrong anyway and it has a solid back so is it that important? The 7750 is running at the same rate as the in house Panerai movement 28.8k as opposed to the hand wind rep at 21.6

It would of course make a difference if it was glass backed

But given that reps v gen will always be a trade off I myself can't see the auto being an issue given that it will have a smoother more gen like sweep and the correct crown guard lever but who knows

You can always wind it if you feel the need!!

The 308 is the Luminor Regatta chrono special edition, right?

I would expect that most/all of the reps are A7750 powered, but there may be some Seagull ST-19 manual chrono reps out there.

At any rate, sounds like a quality piece, Robert, so take 'em.

Hi Robert...were you able to get and confirm that those 308 have auto movement...I notice your posted thread shows some nice photos of this watch...but is the auto movement exactly like the one in your photos?...it looks like a real valjoux 7750 movement and not the typical 7750b1 movement I am use to seeing...judging by the center pin

can you confirm?...thanks

Robert picked up 200 of the auto 308 A7750 high beat (?) models. You'd have to PM him to see if he has any left.

Myself, I picked up a Sea-Gull manual wind 308, and love it. The main differences between Robert's and the manual wind model are the movement (duh), case back (Robert's is more accurate), quick-release (functional on Robert's, not on manual version) strap system, date pusher on side of Robert's case (completely wrong and reason I didn't get one), roller ball CG lever on Robert's (also wrong for 308, but nice), and minor dial differences. Also, Robert was offering the newer style bracelet with his. Oh, and Robert was selling his for a great price :D
